How it works

  • Light energy: The device uses light energy, a form of BroadBand Light, to target and break down excess melanin (in sunspots) and hemoglobin (in redness and small vessels). 
  • Stimulates cell rejuvenation: This process encourages the skin’s cells to behave in a more youthful way, helping to boost collagen and improve overall skin tone. 
  • Photorejuvenation: The technology is a form of photorejuvenation that can treat various imperfections, such as age spots, freckles, and redness. 

What to expect

  • A provider will glide a device over the treatment area, which may feel warm or tingly. A gel is applied to aid with conductivity. 
  • Downtime is typically minimal, with most patients returning to normal activities shortly after the treatment. Some mild redness or a “sunburned” feeling is common for a few hours. 
  • Over the next 1-2 weeks, sunspots and pigmentation may darken before flaking off, resulting in a more even complexion.

What to expect

  • A series of 4 to 6 initial treatments, spaced about two weeks apart, is recommended. 
  • Maintenance sessions (quarterly or semi-annually) are needed to sustain results, which can last several months to a year.

What to expect

  • The handpiece produces a warming, “prickly” sensation that most patients report as being quite comfortable, even without using a numbing agent. The warmth subsides about an hour after treatment.
  • Typically, 3-6 treatments will significantly reduce hair in the treated area. However, the exact number will depend on the speed at which your hair grows and the color and thickness of the hair. Your practitioner will provide you with a custom hair removal plan during an initial consultation.
  • If hair grows back, it’s typically finer and less noticeable than before. Once or twice-yearly maintenance treatments eliminate hair regrowth in the treated areas.
