Today’s dermatologists have completed many years of training to become experts in their field.

  • Four-year undergraduate degree
  • Four years of medical school
  • One year of internship
  • Three years of specialty training within a dermatology residency program

Physician Assistants are health care professionals within a medical practice.

PAs are trained in intensive education programs accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) .

Their training can include:

  • Four-year undergraduate degree
  • Masters Degree
  • Specialized training in dermatology

Our Physician Assistants are PA-C, which means they are physician assistant-certified. To maintain that "C" after "PA", a physician assistant must log 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and take the recertification exam every ten years.
